Federal Appeals Court Pause President Biden’s Planned Vaccination Requirement for Private Companies

In response to a lawsuit filed by a group of plaintiffs, including the Attorney General of Louisiana, a federal appeals court in New Orleans put a pause on President Biden’s planned vaccination requirement for all private companies in the United States with more than 100 employees.


The court wrote that there were statutory and constitutional concerns with the mandate and, therefore, a deeper analysis of the policy is needed. The Biden administration has stated publicly that it is confident that the policy will withstand constitutional scrutiny and has until Monday to submit its response to the court.
