TRUSTS & ESTATES PARALEGAL
This position reports to our Rochester, NY law office
Salary Range: $55,000 – $65,000 (based on experience)
Underberg & Kessler LLP, a respected and long-standing law firm, is seeking a skilled Trusts & Estates Paralegal to join our Rochester office. What You’ll Do:
Step into a hands-on role supporting attorneys and clients with essential trust and estate administration work, including:
Preparing probate and administration petitions
Drafting estate and trust accountings, receipts, and releases
Preparing asset inventories and valuations
Assisting executors with marshaling and managing probate assets
Preparing federal and state estate tax returns
Supporting trust administration and fiduciary accounting
What We Are Looking For:
A two- or four-year degree and/or Paralegal Certificate
Minimum of three years of current Trusts & Estates paralegal experience
Strong knowledge of probate procedures, Surrogate’s Court practice, and fiduciary income tax returns
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented, proactive, and professional workstyle
Comfortable with Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with HotDocs and FAS accounting system is a plus
