LEGAL OPERATIONS MANAGER

This position reports to our Rochester, NY location

Exceptional opportunity with a highly regarded mid-size law firm for an organized, efficient, and skilled Legal Operations Manager. Responsibilities include oversight of human resources, compliance, and facilities management. The successful candidate will have experience coordinating day-to-day activities of a full-service law firm, superb attention to detail, business acumen, excellent listening and written/oral communication skills, a track record of developing others, a teamwork approach, and the ability to oversee multiple functions and meet strict deadlines. 


Essential Functions & Responsibilities: 

  • Human Resources – recruiting, onboarding, benefits management, enforcing Firm policies, coordinating employee performance reviews, and handling day-to-day employee issues; the ideal candidate has experience facilitating these activities, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to excellence in law firm administration and workforce diversity.  

  • Operations Support, Vendor Relations – handling day-to-day operations for a law firm with several offices, supporting management team, partnership, practice group leaders, and attorneys; providing oversight of and coordination of training for business center, records management, as well as attorneys and administrative support staff; handling vendor relations as needed.  

  • Compliance – monitoring compliance and internal controls, including processes for management of operations risk, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and developing and enforcing firm policies for best practices and organizational efficiencies.  

  • Facilities – managing staff, operations, and records/files across the Firm’s several offices. 


Ideal candidates must have at least five (5) years of related work experience.  BA/BS required. The annual salary range for this position is $80,000-$120,000 and will be determined based on prior relevant experience.
