LEGAL OPERATIONS MANAGER
This position reports to our Rochester, NY location
Exceptional opportunity with a highly regarded mid-size law firm for an organized, efficient, and skilled Legal Operations Manager. Responsibilities include oversight of human resources, information technology, compliance, and facilities management. The successful candidate will have experience coordinating day-to-day activities of a full-service law firm, superb attention to detail, business acumen, excellent listening and written/oral communication skills, a track record of developing others, a teamwork approach, and the ability to oversee multiple functions and meet strict deadlines.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
• Human Resources – recruiting, onboarding, benefits management, enforcing Firm policies, coordinating employee performance reviews, and handling day-to-day employee issues; the ideal candidate has experience facilitating these activities, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to excellence in law firm administration and workforce diversity.
• Operations Support, Vendor Relations– handling day-to-day operations for a law firm with several offices, supporting management team, partnership, practice group leaders, and attorneys; providing oversight of and coordination of training for business center, records management as well as attorneys and administrative support staff; handling vendor relations as needed.
• Compliance – monitoring compliance and internal controls, including processes for management of operations risk, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and developing and enforcing Firm policies for best practices and organizational efficiencies.
• Facilities – managing staff, operations, and records/files across the Firm’s several offices.
Ideal candidates must have at least five years of related work experience. BA/BS required. The annual salary range for this position is $80,000-$120,000 and will be determined based on prior relevant experience.
