Katherine T. McCarley
An Associate in the Firm’s Litigation Practice Department, Katherine focuses her practice in the areas of health care and labor and employment law. Katherine’s clients include healthcare providers and facilities, where she has represented them in litigation involving alleged medical misdiagnosis and licensing investigations and defending individuals, who are property owners, business owners, and employers. She is a tenacious advocate who passionately represents her clients with thorough diligent research and careful attention to details. Katherine understands how thoughtful diplomacy and zealous advocacy can be balanced to achieve each client’s goals and objectives successfully. She believes her clients’ business needs should remain at the forefront of an attorney’s mind so that they can be best represented. Katherine is an active listener and, when meeting with a client, she takes time to learn and understand the client’s business so that she can find the right solution in an effective and efficient manner to meet or exceed her clients’ expectations. Her approach results in identifying issues before they arise and building a strong, trusting, and long-lasting relationship with those with whom she works.
The legal profession has been a life-long path for Katherine, with a focus since early education. She has always believed in fighting for the rights of others and uses her natural curiosity to determine the root cause of conflict. In her spare time, she enjoys drawing, painting, and singing. A goal of hers is to give back to the community by starting an organization that provides scholarship opportunities for children in need so that they can, in turn, succeed on their own.
