INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY MANAGER

Underberg & Kessler LLP, a growing mid-sized law firm, has an opening for an Information Technology Manager in Rochester, NY. Our Firm provides legal services for clients in commercial and residential real estate purchases and sales, financing, leasing, and related matters. Our clients include municipalities, businesses, national retailers, financial institutions, and individuals.

This position oversees the Firm’s IT systems administrator and manages the Firm’s information technology and computer systems infrastructure, serving as a liaison with external network and cybersecurity vendors. This individual will be responsible for the planning, organization, and evaluation of the Firm’s IT and electronic data operations; designing, developing and implementing IT systems, policies, and procedures; ensuring security of data, network access, and backup systems; aligning with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy; identifying problematic areas and implementing strategic solutions; auditing systems and assessing their outcomes; and developing the Firm’s annual IT budget and ensuring cost effectiveness.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate proven experience as an IT project manager, possess knowledge of technical management, information analysis of computer hardware/software systems, strong capabilities in data management and data governance, and hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation. BS in Computer Science, MIS, or similar field required.
