As chair of the Firm’s Corporate & Business Department and member of the Firm's Commercial Lending and Municipal Practice Groups, Ed brings meticulous attention to detail to his work with clients. He represents corporations, LLCs, partnerships, and individuals in connection with mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, business planning and financing. Ed has significant experience in public finance law, which includes drafting financial and corporate documents and bond offers for industrial development agencies and for dormitory, water, and housing authorities. Ed serves as bond counsel and represents underwriters, letter of credit banks, and borrowers in financing transactions for health care, manufacturing, education and housing infrastructure. Additionally, he advises not-for-profit entities, municipal entities, and public authorities on a wide range of transactions, including regulatory matters and tax compliance.
Ed's first law firm experience was as a legal assistant at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. He was also Articles Editor of The Buffalo Law Review.

A member of the Monroe County and New York State Bar Associations, Ed is also a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers, the New York State Association of Towns, and the New York State Economic Development Council. He serves the community as Secretary of the Brighton Memorial Library Foundation's Board of Directors and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Livingston County Chamber of Commerce and is its immediate past chair. Ed is also the former Secretary and member of the Board of Directors for the Brighton Lacrosse Club, a former Executive Committee and Board member of the Veterans Outreach Center, and the former President of the Board of Directors of the Montessori School of Rochester.
Additionally, he is a guest speaker for the Monroe County Bar Association and SCORE Counselors to America’s Small Business.
