Underberg & Kessler LLP

Work and family. Two of the most important areas of life come under Jennifer Mereau's purview as an attorney practicing Family Law and Labor and Employment Law. Jennifer represents clients in the full spectrum of family law issues, including divorce, custody, support actions, the negotiation of separation agreements, adoptions and prenuptial agreements. Her diplomacy, compassion and people skills are an asset to her clients, as is her extensive background in general litigation, dispute settlement, and arbitration.

A graduate of Ithaca College and Boston College Law School, Jennifer began her legal career as a Law Clerk at Sulloway and Hollis, in Concord, N.H. Before joining Underberg & Kessler, she most recently served as an associate attorney at Lacy Katzen LLP.

In addition to her family law practice, Jennifer represents private and public sector clients in a variety of litigation and employment matters, including contract disputes, tort claims, discrimination, retaliation, workplace issues, and harassment. She also represents clients in complex national liability litigation, and has conducted bench trials and arbitration proceedings.

Jennifer appears in both the Federal and State courts before various government and administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New York Division of Human Rights, OSHA, and the United States Department of Labor. She is admitted to practice in New York State and Massachusetts, and is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the Monroe County Bar Association, and the Association of Collaborative Family Law Attorneys.
