Scott’s career has taken him from the sunny climes of Florida, to the easy streets of the Crescent City, to a position with one of the world’s premier legal publishing firms. Now, as an associate in our firm’s Tax & ERISA and Corporate & Business Practice Groups, Scott concentrates his practice in the areas of federal and state taxation for corporations, partnerships, and individuals, representation before the IRS, and ERISA and employee benefits matters.
Prior to joining Underberg & Kessler, Scott was a Senior Attorney Editor at Thomson West, the world’s largest legal publisher, where he wrote analysis of Federal income tax law. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of Florida, his J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans, and his LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law. He is a member of the American Bar Association, where he formerly held a Tax Section subcommittee chair position, as well as a member of the Monroe County Bar Association, where Scott serves as Chair of the Tax Section and as a member of the Nominating Committee for the 2009-2010 Officers and Trustees. Scott is active in the community, as a board member for Third Rochester Enterprises Corporation and for the Asbury Day Care Center.
