At home in the courtroom and the boardroom, Gordon untangles the knotty disputes and thorny issues of corporate and commercial litigation. A senior litigation attorney at Underberg & Kessler, he has been trying cases and arguing appeals in state and federal courts for more than 30 years. He also has extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution, which often saves his clients in court costs and headaches.

Gordon concentrates his practice on complex commercial, corporate, banking, insurance and employment law litigation. He has litigated diverse employment law cases such as disputes over non-compete covenants, trade secrets and customer lists, age and sex discrimination claims and disputes over consulting contracts and executive compensation plans. As lead counsel for the County of Monroe, which was in litigation over the construction of the Monroe County Resource Recovery facility, he obtained more than $13 million for the County in the mediation of that claim.

Gordon has served as Chairman of the Judiciary Committee of the Monroe County Bar Association and on State, Supreme Court and Federal District Court practice committees as well as an Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee.

Gordon was selected a 2010 Upstate New York Super Lawyer by Law & Politics. The Super Lawyer group represents the top 5% of attorneys in Upstate New York who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.

A native of Rochester, he received his undergraduate degree from Hamilton College and his law degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Law.
